President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Monday toured the Atomic junction gas explosion site for first hand information on the incident.
Expressing concern about the incident, the President said his government would ensure that gas explosions were curtailed in the country.
President Akufo-Add was on a tour of the Northern Region when the incident occurred last Saturday.
According to him, he was devastated by the lives that had been lost due to the explosion.
The President was accompanied by a number of government officials including the Chief of Staff, Mrs Frema Osei Opare.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Mr Hassan Tampuli briefed President Akufo-Addo at the site.
